If your hero is strong, he'll just rek the neutrals and the map. Well, with the heroes carrying over with personal fighting skills this couldn't have ended any differently. If you get two heroes then you can mix more but it's still combat+magic and tactics for one and scouting for the other. Not exactly what I'd value highly or I'd call polished.īesides, it's still always might/tactics/scouting + a magic skill that's the best combo for a solo hero. H4 wasn't anything special.Īs to polished spells section, it's filled with copies of each other. In the first map you develop your hero with the castle you are given and in the next map you rush with the hero to gain max level so the rest of the campaign you end in a couple of weeks with just your hero running around.Īs to 3DO going banckrupt and that affecting the development, let's not forget, most games of the time were made with laughably small crew and basically no budget untill that point. The chaos pirate one is not a bad idea but in general I felt most of them were weak, always the same. I remember the castle one being awfully dull and the nature one being the most enjoyable. The campaigns are in fact very easy once you get a few tricks up your sleeve.
